A hanging piece combining collage and stitch. The vase is cut from delicate vintage silk in lovely pinkish muted hues. Flowers are cotton and lace and stitched over with silken leaves. Framed with dense continuous running machine stitch of silvery grey rayon silk thread which gives a lovely pearly lustre. On a background of dense black velvet this piece is slightly raised and very light woth felt and cotton backing. With hanging loops for a pole. It could be hung as is or would look lovely in a frame. Due to its fragile nature it should be kept away from direct sunlight and a soft brush used to remove dust. Measures approx 15.5cm by 12cm. Backed on to mount board with removable nano tape.
